Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective: August 5, 2026Last updated: August 5, 2026

Version: 1.0

This page covers both refunds and cancellations, for both kinds of work we do. It is written to be read before you buy, not after something goes wrong.

We do not ship physical goods, so no shipping or returns policy applies.

1. Two kinds of engagement, two sets of rules

A monthly retainer is a subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel it. Sections 2 to 6 cover it.

Project work is not a subscription. A website, an integration, a dashboard — quoted once, billed against milestones, finished. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel in the subscription sense. Sections 7 to 9 cover it.

We keep these separate because they work differently, and blurring them is how people get surprised.

2. The retainer: what you're agreeing to

  • Billed monthly, in advance.
  • Initial term of 90 days. After that it continues month to month.
  • It renews automatically each month until you cancel. The monthly plan carries no annual commitment, no notice period longer than 30 days, and no automatic price increase at renewal. Annual prepay is a separate option you can choose, never a default — see section 4.
  • We show you the price, the billing frequency, and the fact that it renews before you give us a payment method, and we take your affirmative agreement to those terms at signup. We never pre-tick a consent box.
  • If we ever change the price, we will tell you before the change takes effect and you can cancel first.

3. Cancelling the retainer

You can give notice of cancellation at any time — including during the initial term. Service and billing continue through the later of 30 days after we receive your notice and the end of the 90-day initial term.

To cancel, email support@corveonic.com and say you want to cancel. That is the whole step. No phone call, no retention conversation you have to sit through, no form to request a form. We will acknowledge within 2 business days and confirm in writing, including the exact date service ends.

What happens next:

  • Your 30 days' notice runs from the day we receive your cancellation. If that lands inside the initial term, service ends on day 90 instead — never earlier than 30 days after your notice, never earlier than the end of the initial term.
  • Service continues through the period you have already paid for. We do not cut you off early.
  • We do not refund fees for service you have already received, and we do not prorate a partial month.
  • Your final invoice covers any usage above your plan's included amounts, and any project work in progress.
  • You can export your data for 30 days after service ends.

If we offer you a discount or a pause to keep you, saying no is the end of it. Your cancellation proceeds on the same dates unless you accept the offer in writing.

4. Annual prepay

Annual prepay is offered, never required. You pay for ten months and get twelve.

If you cancel part-way through the year, we refund the months you have not used, recalculated at the standard monthly rate for your tier.

The discount is what you get for committing to a year. If you do not stay the year, you do not keep the discount — but you do not lose the unused months either.

Worked example, at $1,197/month: you prepay $11,970 for twelve months. You cancel in month five. You have used five months at the standard rate — $5,985 — so we refund $5,985.

  • The 90-day initial term applies to annual plans exactly as it applies to monthly ones. Inside the first 90 days there is no refund of the retainer. That period covers the onboarding work, which is the part we cannot get back.
  • The setup fee is separate and is not refunded once the work it covers has been delivered. It buys a one-time piece of work, not a period of service. See section 5.
  • No cancellation fee, no penalty, and no notice period beyond the 30 days in section 3.

Before an annual plan renews, we email you at least 30 days ahead with the renewal date and the amount you will be charged. That is company policy, not a legal requirement — see section 6.

5. The setup fee [+IA]

The setup fee funds real onboarding work: discovery, configuration, and the build your first weeks require. One rule governs it, stated here once — the pricing page points to this section rather than restating it.

  • It is never waived. It is part of every plan’s first invoice, at every tier.
  • It is refundable in full until onboarding work begins. “Begins” means the same two observable events as section 7: your kickoff call is held, or we send you written notice that work has started, whichever comes first.
  • Once onboarding work has begun, it is not refundable. It covers time already spent, and we will show you what was done.

We considered a 30-day money-back guarantee on the setup fee and decided against offering one. A guarantee hinged on “what we scoped” means different things to a hopeful reader and a careful one, and we would rather not publish a promise that reads broadly and pays narrowly. What you get instead is literal: a refund rule with an observable trigger, and the cancellation right in section 3 that starts on day one.

6. Why this policy looks stricter than the law requires [+IA]

Most auto-renewal laws protect individuals buying for personal or household use, not businesses. We apply these standards to every client anyway — clear terms before you pay, no pre-ticked boxes, cancellation that takes one email, and no attempt to make leaving harder than joining.

7. Project work: deposits and milestones

Project work is quoted as a fixed scope and billed against milestones:

  • Small projects — 50% deposit, 50% on delivery.
  • $5,000 to $25,000 USD — 40% on signing, 30% at midpoint approval, 30% at launch.
  • Over $25,000 USD — 30% on signing, 25% at design approval, 25% at build complete, 20% at launch.

Deposits. Your deposit is refundable in full until we begin work. Once work has begun it covers time already spent and is not refundable, though we will always show you what was done.

“We begin work” means one of two events, both visible to you: your kickoff call is held, or we send you written notice that work has started — whichever comes first. Until one of those has happened, the deposit comes back in full.

Milestones. A milestone payment is not refundable once that milestone has been delivered and accepted. Each milestone includes two rounds of revisions; further revisions are billed hourly at our published rate. Work outside the agreed scope needs a written change order before it starts.

If you stop a project partway. You can end a project at any time. You pay for work completed to that point, plus a kill fee of 15% of the remaining balance. That covers the schedule we held and the work we turned down.

8. Usage charges [+IA]

Usage above your plan's included amounts — extra SMS segments — is billed in arrears at the published rates. Usage that has already happened is not refundable, because the underlying carrier and model costs have already been incurred.

9. How refunds are paid, and sales tax [+IA]

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days. Where sales tax was charged on a refunded item, the tax is refunded with it.

10. Before you dispute a charge [+IA]

If a charge looks wrong, email us first at support@corveonic.com. We keep records of what you agreed to and when, and most problems turn out to be a misread invoice line. A chargeback filed without asking us costs both of us time and does not get you an answer faster.

11. How charges appear on your statement

Charges from Corveonic appear on your card or bank statement as CORVEONIC (or, for individual product charges, the shortened form CORV followed by the product name).

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the version you accepted at signup continues to apply to your current term. Changes take effect at your next renewal, and we will tell you before they do.
